چکیده

Abstract This paper presents a bibliometric and critical review of auditory non-auditory health impacts due to road traffic noise exposure. The discusses the general trends studies conducted in research domain using network approach. These networks are based on citation, bibliographic coupling, co-authorship relationships. Further, is summarise Auditory impact issues such as noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) tinnitus presented. Non-auditory categorised physiology performance-related impacts. Physiology related includes cardiovascular sleep disturbance noise. Performance-related annoyance cognitive impairment issues. severity level, different exposure-response relationships, techniques, empirical models developed assess magnitude these Subjective laboratory assessment techniques used analyse through various modeling statistical approaches considered. Additionally, scenario analysis heterogeneous transportation performed. An done find applicability risk prediction conditions.

Association of Road Traffic Noise Exposure and Driving Behaviors

Background: The noise caused by traffic is an increasingly prominent feature of urban environments. However, limited studies have been focused on the assessment of exposure-response relationship between road traffic noise exposure and driving behaviors in Iran. The present study aimed to investigate the prevalence of the violations caused by road traffic noise exposure in Qazvin, Iran. Methods...

Auditory and non-auditory effects of noise on health.

Noise is pervasive in everyday life and can cause both auditory and non-auditory health effects. Noise-induced hearing loss remains highly prevalent in occupational settings, and is increasingly caused by social noise exposure (eg, through personal music players). Our understanding of molecular mechanisms involved in noise-induced hair-cell and nerve damage has substantially increased, and prev...

The effects of traffic noise on memory and auditory-verbal learning in Persian language children

Background: Acoustic noise is one of the universal pollutants of modern society. Although the high level of noise adverse effects on human hearing has been known for many years, non-auditory effects of noise such as effects on cognition, learning, memory and reading, especially on children, have been less considered. Factors which have negative impact on these features can also have a negat...

Non-auditory Effects Caused by Environmental Noise Pollution

Noise pollution is one of the prominent environmental problems affecting human health especially in developing countries. The impacts of noise on health should not be underestimated. Exposure to acoustical stimuli impairs not only the function of auditory system but also that of many other systems of human body. Previous investigations revealed that noise exposure could result in sleep disturba...

Stress and Auditory Responses of the Otophysan Fish, Cyprinella venusta, to Road Traffic Noise

Noise pollution from anthropogenic sources is an increasingly problematic challenge faced by many taxa, including fishes. Recent studies demonstrate that road traffic noise propagates effectively from bridge crossings into surrounding freshwater ecosystems; yet, its effect on the stress response and auditory function of freshwater stream fishes is unexamined. The blacktail shiner (Cyprinella ve...
